The Cowboys and running back Tony Pollard did not reach a long-term deal by the franchise tag deadline Monday, according to multiple reports. Here’s what you need to know:
Pollard, who signed the franchise tag tender in March, will make $10.1 million on a one-year deal this season.
Pollard led the Cowboys in rushing last season with career highs of 193 carries, 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns.
The 26-year-old is entering his fifth season with Dallas, where he’s posted 510 carries and 17 rushing touchdowns in 62 career games.
